Akimbo mini uzi advice/help...does anyone 'feather' the trigger with them?

Post by Asdf123 on Fri Jan 22, 2010 4:07 am

Hey guys,

so i feel like if i got dirty with akimbo mini uzis there are maps they would be absurd on (scrapyard, sub base, invasion). the maps with more middleish distance fights i think they may be good on too, but my aim is bad enough as it is whilst aiming down the scope. I saw my friend rocking them on invasion with scavenger pro just running through the 4 middle buildings owning the world. I've tried implementing his strategy but i'm more of a fan of akimbo machine pistols (i've used them longer and am more accurate). I just spray bullets with the uzis i do alright with them well for me at least (i'm still kinda noobish.)

Anyway, my friend shots them weird, he'll feather the trigger and his accuracy is absurd he says if you're on it takes 3 bullets tops to kill someone and i'm just wasting ammo like a tard. is feathering the trigger standard for them? does anybody here use them and got any advice?

Well it also depends on your perk set up as to how effective they are, a good set-up for any akimbo weapon class is either sleight of hand or scavenger, with stopping power, and steady aim, no feathering the trigger means he's not always fully automatic on it he's just tapping the trigger and getting the guns to shoot maybe 3-8 bullets at a time that way the recoil isn't so bad and your accuracy is much better instead of just holding down the trigger and spraying like there is no tomorrow.

yeah i use sca, stopping, and steady with most classes that have akimbo machine pistols. i have one sniping class with sleight of hand pro though.

i usually just spray like there is no tomorrow when i rock the akimbo uzis, hahaha. its rather funny.

Well that's why your not as accurate as your friend, lol just hold the trigger in for about like a 5-8 bullet burst let off get your aim back and do that over and over and your accuracy with it should increase.

I rarely use the Mini Uzi but when I do I just like to go real close to the opponent and go nuts Razz

Yeah, thats better for accuracy, but its no fun trying to be accurate with two guns.

lol If your not accurate with two guns your basically not going to kill anyone except with a few lucky bullets but your basically screwed if you lay full out on the trigger now if you feather the trigger you will own all with it.

I don't understand how any of you hit a friggin' thing with akimbo. Aside from my horrible accuracy with them, I can't ever just fire one weapon because I'm so used to aiming down the sights with my left trigger when I see an enemy.

Yeah, I'm with you there a little bit MaTtKs, haha I was so used to pressing L1 to aim that when I went to akimbo weapons I would always be shooting my left gun after I killed someone because I'd think I was going to aim at another person or something so my accuracy dropped a lot and that kinda why I gave up on it I only got like a 17.00 accuracy.

You don't have to be accurate with akimbo guns. I run around with akimbo glocks and never have a problem.

I had that problem when I first started using Akimbo... it was very awkward to say the least.

Now OP, I guess what your friend is doing is very possible if he obviously is executing this method well, it really depends how accurate you can be... and thats not just aiming in the enemies direction but rather at which part of the enemy your aiming at. Practice going for the the head and chest and I'm sure the firepower will be overwhelming.

Akimbo glocks are almost overpowered though that gun is very accurate in akimbo and they are deadly at long range even without steady aim, because there area spread on the crossairs is small.
